How not to be an Ita
Ita means you are an ugly Lolita. It’s an insult. Don’t be it!
The things NOT to do:
- Don’t wear cosplay with your Lolita clothes. Cosplay and Lolita should never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever mix.
-Don’t wear black and white Lolita dresses if they are made poorly with cheap lace.
-Don’t say “Desu” unless you are actually Japanese and or know how to speak it (correctly). That just makes you look like a lame weabo.
-Don’t wear cheap kitty ears. It’s an annoying rule… But it’s necessary to keep Lolita classy >3<
-Don’t only eat sweets…you’ll just get sick silly!
-Don’t be brainless! Just because you look like a doll doesn’t mean that your brainless. Keyword is ‘LOOK’, not 'are’.
-Don’t forget your blouse!
Friendly Reminder: Don’t be afraid to experiment with your Lolita clothing. If someone comes along and calls you a ita, enquire why. If they seem to be too picky to the point where it’s even more pickier than Lolita fashion already is, thier probably just being a snob and you should just ignore them.
Lolita Fashion Questions!
YOU CAN BE A LOLITA FOR HALLOWEEN. YOU CAN EVEN COSPLAY AS A LOLITA.
It’s OK. You are not banned from dressing up in Lolita on certain days of the year if you don’t wear it the rest of the year. You can wear Lolita as a costume because you want to try it out in an environment where it is socially acceptable to wear a costume and you feel more comfortable trying out the fashion that way.
Be a Lolita for Halloween if you want to be one. Not a Witch Lolita or a Bunny Lolita or a Maid Lolita, just be a regular Lolita if that’s what you want. Lolita has managed to survive the past 20+ Halloweens and past 9 billion anime conventions without descending into costume anarchy.
